So I got buried.
Trump doesn’t want anyone to go through this process again. He should talk to me. My life was ruined. He will go on ruining lives.
This little book tells it all. It costs a buck and you can buy a pack and pass them out. But it don’t matter if you don’t remind yourself of our dreams of a more perfect union. Not until the late 19th Century did they address slavery and there is no mention of God. Here’s one of the things the founders said:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
So as we sip our beer, eat our franks and watch fireworks, we should be thinking about how to make these truths real and not just words.

10th Anniversary. Arguably the best Coen Bros movie. It’s about containment. How appropriate! We live in a shitstorm. And this women’s rights stuff? Hey, don’t use your position to get pussy and don’t use force. Men and women need to be educated and we don’t need to go back to the Victorian age. But, let’s deal with the issues that the candidate to be on the Court is pro Corporation, anti abortion and against civil rights and liberties for all Americans. That’s what disqualifies him.

Twenty years ago today, the Court of Appeals, in an unsigned opinion destroyed my judicial and legal careers. I could have done a lot of justice and never got the chance. Sad that many still treat me as a pariah. “And, so it goes.
I will never stand up for Trump. He is not my President. And anyone who wants to separate parents from children in detention camps or jails are not the kind of Americans who my Father went to war to protect.
I can still look into the mirror at myself. I often wonder if any of you, not the few who stood up for justice, can do the same. You all, especially my brother’s family, scum, left me to die. I did suffer a mortal wound, but have not expired, yet. Closer to dying, than living. Cancer will kill me, before the Per Curium.
Harry Anderson died at the age of 65. He understood Night Court as well as I did. Justice in the grinder can be funny. Lots of opportunities to be fair, so long as everyone has a sense of humor and realizes the limits of their power. I would have liked to appear before him.
So, a kid in school kills another kid. He had been bullied, threatened and harassed. I am not ready to say justified, but hey, agree on the facts and do something with the case. If you don’t, try it. But don’t set bail at $500,000 on a kid who cannot post it, keeping him in jail until the case can be resolved.
In Murder cases, bail can be denied. A person is entitled to bail in all other cases, with minor exceptions, not present here. Setting a bail which is clearly unnameable and outside the realm of Constitutional thinking, defeats the purpose of the 8th Amendment. Set a reasonable bail and let the kid get his life together, go to school (get him a tutor of home school), and receive counseling. Don’t set a bail that looks good in the newspapers, while denying justice.
You have to wonder, don’t you, why high bail was set in this case? Don’t you? Is the kid a threat to flee? Is the proof of guilt overwhelming and the conviction a certainty? Then again, maybe you don’t wonder, because you don’t know enough about the system or you read the NY Post.
